I remember this downind well .Clint Smart was out of action and he was always my wingman in Cape Town – so he kindly videoed me at Karmers and then I downwinded to Haakgat And he got this footage – sorry really old so poor quality but worth shoving up here.

I always remember this session as I remember having a run in with a German pole boarder at Karmers – I have sucked humble pie on all my travels and to be tuned by a foreigner in your on hood – nah ah – How is it that the foreigners think that this is their spot often eludes me?

I remember that year I won the Hang time competition at the Strand – 20 knots came though in the final andI was left hanging onto a 12m DOS – wow!!
