Here is a really important tip – which line do you connect your single line release safety to? Have you ever realised that if you pull your quick release on the new 2018 or 2019 bar that it now releases onto a single line. Now if you are in the water the side that you actually connect it to can have a massive impact on how easily you get back to shore. Since your kite releases onto a single line your kite will either turn to the left and drag you towards the shore but if you connect it onto the wrong line then it can start pulling you out to sea. In strong winds this could mean that you are not making it back to shore with your kite, as it might pull you out faster than you can swim in – so here is a quick video that we knocked up to to make it easier for you to work out how to correctly connect your safety line.
